Resources for Implementing Changes to Race/Ethnicity Reporting in IPEDS
IPEDS will adopt new aggregate categories for reporting R/E data in accordance with the final guidance issued by the U.S. Department of Education on October 19, 2007. These changes are necessary to implement the Office of Management and Budget’s (OMB) 1997 Standards for Maintaining, Collecting, and Presenting Federal Data on Race and Ethnicity.

The resources available from this page are intended to assist institutions and state agencies with the transition to the new race and ethnicity categories.
