Reporting an Alleged Violation

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineer's jurisdiction is Section 10 of the Rivers and Harbors Act and Section 404 of the Clean Water Act. If you suspect work is occurring, or has occurred, in Corps jurisdiction without a Corps permit, you may report this alleged violation to the Corps for further investigation. To successfully pursue a violation the Corps must establish regulatory jurisdiction (PowerPoint presentation) over the site. The information you provide on the Reporting an Alleged Violation Form will assist with this requirement. On this form, please provide ALL available information. We will use this information to initiate an investigation. For best results, we ask that you also furnish maps, photographs, and any other pertinent information to the following:

U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Seattle District, Regulatory Branch
ATTN: Violation Report (county)
Post Office Box 3755 Seattle, Washington 98124-3755

You may also report a suspected violation by telephoning (206) 764-3495.
