ARMY

United Defense, Santa Clara, California, is being awarded a $2,933,750 increment as part of a $5,867,500 modification to a $133,174,586 cost plus incentive fee contract for one armored gun system chassis. Work will be performed in Santa Clara, California (75%) and Warren, Michigan (25%), and is expected to be completed by June 30, 1996. Of the total contract funds, $2,933,750 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This is a sole source contract initiated on December 5, 1994. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Tank Automotive Command, Warren, Michigan (DAAE07-92-C-R047).

Midcon, Incorporated*, Albuquerque, New Mexico, is being awarded a $7,528,000 firm fixed price contract for construction of an air crew training facility. The project includes the construction of two buildings. A two-story flight simulator building (38,835 square feet) includes high-bay areas and computer rooms, office areas, briefing rooms and supporting areas. A single-story academic building (19,067 square feet) includes classrooms, auditorium, offices and supporting areas. Effort includes rerouting existing service utility lines and providing new service lines to the facilities. Work will be performed at Kirtland Air Force Base, New Mexico, and is expected to be completed by January 3, 1996. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 73 bids solicited on November 10, 1994, and 13 bids received. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Albuquerque, New Mexico (DACA47-95-C-0013).

Dawson Building Contractors, Incorporated, Gadsden, Alabama, is being awarded a $15,046,948 firm fixed price contract for barracks rehabilitation, second increment. Construction consists of modernizing two barracks, construction of two modified standard design battalion and brigade headquarters buildings, three standard design battery buildings, and a dining facility. Project includes connection to energy monitoring and control system, installing an intrusion detection system, and asbestos abatement. Supporting facilities include utilities, electric service, fire protection and alarm systems, paving walks, curbs and gutters, parking and storm drainage. Work will be performed at Fort Sill, Oklahoma, and is expected to be completed by September 30, 1997. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 33 bids solicited on October 27, 1994, and 4 bids received. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Tulsa, Oklahoma (DACA56-95-C-0007).

United Defense Limited Partnership, Armament Systems Division, Minneapolis, Minnesota, is being awarded a $22,000,000 increment as part of a $62,613,784 cost plus incentive fee/award fee contract for requirements analysis/component maturation efforts in support of the Advanced Field Artillery System/Future Armored Resupply Vehicle (AFAS/FARV) Phase I and II Development Program. Work will be performed in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and is expected to be completed by January 30, 2000. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This is a sole source contract initiated on July 15, 1994. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Armament, Munitions and Chemical Command, Picatinny Arsenal, New Jersey (DAAE30-95-C-0009).

Martin Marietta Corporation, Pittsfield, Massachusetts, is being awarded a $5,200,672 modification to a firm fixed price contract for 168 Digital Electronic Controls for the Bradley Fighting Vehicle. Work will be performed in Massachusetts and is expected to be completed by December 31, 1996. Of the total contract funds, $154,782 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This is a sole source contract initiated in June 1994. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Armament and Chemical Acquisition and Logistics Activity, Rock Island, Illinois (DAAE20-93-G-0003).

NAVY

Frank Stahl Construction Company, San Diego, California, is being awarded a $6,799,000 firm-fixed price contract for landing craft air cushion facilities, Phase V. Work will be performed in Camp Pendleton, California, and is expected to be completed by February 1996. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured with 350 offers solicited and 18 bids received. The Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Southwest Division, San Diego, California, is the contracting activity (N68711-94-C-1472).

Martin Marietta, Government Electronic Systems, Moorestown, New Jersey, is being awarded an $81,192,557 cost plus fixed-fee contract to provide engineering and technical services in support of the AEGIS weapon system (ship and system support) and interim-level depot supply and repair support. The work will be performed in Moorestown, New Jersey (50 percent); Port Hueneme, California (25 percent); with the balance to be performed as required at Bath, Maine; Pascagoula, Mississippi; Norfolk, Virginia; Pearl Harbor, Hawaii; and Mayport, Florida. Completion date is October 1999. This contract was not competitively procured. If options are exercised, the maximum contract value is $132,502,996. The O&MN portion of the current funding will expire at the end of this fiscal year. The Naval Sea Systems Command is the contracting activity (N00024-95-C-5156).

TRW, Incorporated, Avionics and Surveillance Group, San Diego, California, is being awarded a $43,825,623 firm-fixed-price option exercise for the procurement of logistics support and associated data for the joint tactical unmanned aerial vehicle (JT UAV) program. The JT UAV program is a joint project between the Navy, Marine Corps, and Army. Work will be performed in Sierra Vista, Arizona (55 percent); Rancho Carmel, California (30 percent); and Huntsville, Alabama (15 percent), and is expected to be completed by December 1995. Funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Air Systems Command is the contracting activity (N00019-89-C-0346).

Mobil Oil Corporation, Fairfax, Virginia, is being awarded a $20,900,000 three-year fixed-price contract, with an option for two years in the amount of $15,100,000 for lube oil supplies and services in support of Military Sealift Command (MSC) operating requirements, including recycling and waste oil treatment and disposal. The contract was competitively procured with 38 bids solicited and two responses received. The contract performance period is February 1995 to January 1998, and contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. Hughes Missile Systems Company, Tucson, Arizona, is being awarded a $78,667,984 fixed-price definitizing contract modification. This modification definitizes the long lead material contract N00024-94-C-5322, awarded in October 1993, to support production of 154 STANDARD Missile (SM-1) Block VI All-Up-Round missiles and missile components. This modification also includes an option for 10 missiles and spare missile components valued at $5,502,243. Work will be performed in Highland Park, Arkansas (4 percent), and Tucson, Arizona (96 percent), and is expected to be completed by October 1996. No contract funds will expire at the end of this fiscal year. The contract represents purchases solely for foreign military sales, and was not competitively procured. Vitro Corporation, Rockville, Maryland is being awarded a cost-plus-fixed-fee contract in the amount of $10,390,584 for the procurement of services in support of the Surface Ship Anti-Submarine Warfare Combat Systems Program Office (PMO411). Work will be performed in Arlington, Virginia, and is expected to be completed by December 1996. Contract funds in the amount of $445,083 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. Loral Defense Systems, Akron, Ohio is being provided a $12,000,000 contract modification to increase funding in support of material requirements in support of FY94 Vertical Launch ASROC missile requirements. Work will be performed in Akron and is expected to be completed by January 1995. No contract funds will expire at the end of the fiscal year. Raytheon Company, Electromagnetic Systems Division, Goleta, California is being awarded a $7,870,537 firm-fixed-price contract for the production of the AN/SLQ-32A(V) Band 3 improvement kits and interference suppression/semi-omni antennas. The work will be performed in Goleta, and is expected to be completed by January 1997. This contract does not contain expiring funds, and was procured on a sole source basis. This contract combines the purchases for the U. S. Navy (90 percent) and Australia (10 percent) under the foreign military sales program. Raytheon Company, Equipment Division, Wayland, Massachusetts, is being awarded a $44,611,000 firm-fixed-price contract for fiscal year 1995 requirement of three AN/SPY-1D transmitters including the MK99 fire control system for the AEGIS weapon system. Also included in the contract are options for FY 1996 and 1997 requirements with quantity ranges from one unit to three units per fiscal year. If options are exercised the maximum contract value is $134,216,000. Work will be performed in Waltham, Massachusetts (80 percent), and Wayland, Massachusetts (20 percent). This contract was not competitively procured, and none of the funds will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Sea Systems Command is the contracting activity (N00024-95-C-5158).

AIR FORCE

On December 28, 1994 Boeing Defense and Space Group, Seattle, Washington, was awarded a $13,875,410 fixed-price/incentive-firm contract. This contract provides for modification for the Airborne Warning and Control System (AWACS) fleet to a Block 30/35 configuration. This modification provides for US and NATO Electronic Support Measures Peculiar Support Equipment, Lab Kits and US Simulator Equipment. Contract is expected to be completed in January 1998. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Electronic Systems Center, Hanscom Air Force Base, Massachusetts, is the contracting activity (F19628-87-C-0030-P00109).

Martin Marietta Corporation, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, is being awarded a $30,860,389 face value increase to a firm-fixed-price contract for action to exercise the option for the twenty-first NAVSTAR Global Positioning System Block IIR - Phase II Replenishment satellite. The work will be performed at Philadelphia, Pennsylvania (55%) and Clifton, New Jersey (45%). Contract is expected to be completed October 2000. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Space and Missile Systems Center, Los Angeles, California, is the contracting activity (F04701-89-C-0073, P00088).
