ARMY

Flight Safety International, Incorporated, Flushing, New York, is being awarded $6,267,560 as part of a $31,581,461 (cumulative total for 5 years and subject to availability of funds) firm fixed price contract for Fixed Wing Multi-Engine Qualification Course (FWMEQC) Flight Training Services. Work will be performed in Dothan, Alabama, and is expected to be completed by September 30, 1996 (September 30, 2000 if all options are exercised). There were 31 bids solicited on February 3, 1994, and 1 bid received. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Training and Doctrine Command, Fort Rucker, Alabama (DABT01-95-C-0073).

The Environmental Company*, Charlottesville, Virginia, is being awarded a $2,500 increment as part of a $25,000,000 (base year and 4 option years) indefinite delivery type/firm fixed price contract to provide services for preparation of environmental/natural resources investigations and studies for various United States Government military facilities and civil works projects world-wide identified by the Fort Worth District.

Work will be performed at various world-wide locations and is expected to be completed by December 1, 1999 (includes all options). Of the total contract funds, $2,500 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 472 bids solicited on February 7, 1994, and 17 bids received. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Fort Worth, Texas (DACA63-95-D-0005).

Martin Marietta Technologies, Incorporated and Westinghouse Electronic Systems Group, a joint venture, Orlando, Florida, is being awarded a $31,000,000 firm fixed price contract for long lead time effort in support of Lot 1 of the Longbow Fire Control Radar (FCR) Program. Work will be performed in Orlando, Florida (50%), and Baltimore, Maryland (50%), and is expected to be completed by November 30, 1995. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This is a sole source contract initiated on July 8, 1994. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Aviation and Troop Command, St. Louis, Missouri (DAAJ09-95-C-A002).

United Defense Limited Partnership, York, Pennsylvania, is being awarded a $12,663,000 modification to a firm fixed price letter contract for 15 Improved Recovery Vehicles (IRV). Work will be performed in York, Pennsylvania, and is expected to be completed by May 15, 1997. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This is a sole source contract initiated on May 6, 1993. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Tank Automotive Command, Warren, Michigan (DAAE07-94-C-0429).

AIR FORCE

Hughes Missile Systems Company, Tucson, Arizona, is being awarded a $14,491,626 face value increase to a time and materials contract. This contract provides for CY1995 technical support for production of the Advanced Medium Range Air-to-Air Missile (AMRAAM). Contract is expected to be completed December 1995. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract is in support of Foreign Military Sales (FMS) to the United Kingdom, Turkey, Korea and Norway. The Aeronautical Systems Center, Eglin Air Force Base, Florida, is the contracting activity (F08626-93-C-0016, P00021).

National Aerospace Plane, National Contractor Team, Palmdale, California, is being awarded a $42,119,054 face value increase to a cost-plus-award-fee contract. This contract provides for action to procure the preliminary design of the National Aerospace Plane flight test article for use in the design of future hypersonic vehicles. This effort will be performed by the members of the National Contractor Team at the following locations: Lockheed Corporation, Fort Worth, Texas; McDonnell Douglas Corporation, St. Louis, Missouri; Rockwell International Corporation, Los Angeles, California; Rockwell International Corporation, Rocketdyne Division, Canoga Park, California; and United Technologies Corporation, West Palm Beach, Florida. Contract is expected to be completed October 1995. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Aeronautical Systems Center, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio is the contracting activity (F33657-91-C-2012, P00048).
