At NREL since 2005

Alexandra Dubini is investigating the global gene expression of algal cultures under H2 -producing conditions using the microarray technique. She is also studying the maturation process of the [Fe-Fe] enzyme in Chlamydomonas reinhardtii. Prior to coming to NREL, she researched the identification of new chaperones involved in the Tat system at the University of East Anglia, UK, where she received her Ph.D.

Dr. Dubini's skills and experience include biochemistry and molecular biology techniques such as anaerobic protein purification, protein engineering, protein expression, mutagenesis PCR gene cloning, western blotting, immunoprecipitation (pull-down assay), mutagenesis, and rocket immunoelectrophoresis.
