Home Energy Yardstick Syndicated Content

By hosting ENERGY STAR's Home Energy Yardstick on your Web site, you can help homeowners to take the first step make their home more energy efficient with Home Performance with ENERGY STAR. The Yardstick can also be a great lead screening tool to determine how serious a homeowner is about improving the performance of their home.

Homeowners enter basic information about their home and energy usage into the Yardstick, and based on the information provided, get an energy score for their home (on a 1–10 scale). If they want to take the next step, they can forward their contact information to the program sponsor to set up an appointment for a comprehensive energy assessment by a participating home performance contractor.

Hosting the Home Energy Yardstick is easy. All that is required is to insert a line of code on the appropriate page and location on your Web site. For more information, contact Ted Leopkey: Leopkey.Ted@epa.gov; 202-343-9659.
