The Coalition is a non-profit, statewide network of 64 member programs that serve victims of domestic violence in rural, urban and Indian Country communities of Washington, plus 119 individual and organizational associates. We work towards practical change as well as a vision for social justice by: advocating for public policies to promote safety and justice for battered women and their children, providing specialized training, consultation and publications to support best practices among domestic violence programs, conducting research to promote local-level change, through avenues such as our Fatality Review Project, educating the public through our Refuse To Abuse campaign with the Seattle Mariners, In Her Shoes: Living with Domestic Violence teaching tool, Caminando En Sus Zapatos ("walking in her shoes"), Spanish language radio novelas (soap operas), and other innovative products, and supporting six constituent groups (Jewish Network, Immigrant & Refugee Network, Lesbian/ Bisexual/ Transgender/ Gay Network, Native Network, Survivors in Service Caucus, and Women of Color Caucus).
