Students and Astronauts Use Powerful New Tool to Explore Earth From Space

On October 12, Richard Garriott, a citizen astronaut and son of former astronaut Owen Garriot, takes Windows on Earth software to the International Space Station. Originally developed by TERC for use in museums and the web, the software has been adapted for use by astronauts because of its realistic simulation of Earth as seen from space. Full Story
