Mission:
The mission of the Soil and Water Quality Research Unit is to develop a fundamental and quantitative understanding of the biological, chemical, and physical processes that occur within soil and to apply this knowledge to design management practices and develop agricultural systems that enhance the economic viability of U.S. agriculture while safeguarding the nation's soil and water resources.
