AIR FORCE

Federal Express Corp., Greenbelt, Md., is being awarded a $7,926,553 firm-fixed-price-contract to provide for FY 1999 international express small package service. There were 18 firms solicited and 4 proposals received. Expected contract completion date is September 30, 1999. Solicitation issue date was April 8, 1998. Negotiation completion date was July 2, 1998. Headquarters Air Mobility Command, Scott AFB, Ill., is the contracting activity (Contract number not applicable).

NAVY

Advanced Acoustic Concepts, Inc., Ronkonkoma, N.Y., is being awarded a $28,492,098 cost-plus-fixed-fee term contract for computer aided submode training (CAST) lesson authoring system (CLASS) development, maintenance, engineering services, technical analysis, technology support (hardware and software) and user training for the Aegis Training and Readiness Center, Dahlgren Div., Dahlgren, Va. Work will be performed in Ronkonkoma, N.Y. (65%), and Dahlgren, Va. (35%), and is expected to be completed by July 2003. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was not competitively procured. The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Div., Dahlgren, Va., is the contracting activity (N00178-98-C-2011).

Carothers Construction, Inc., Water Valley, Miss., is being awarded a $6,386,570 firm-fixed-price contract to provide for the design and construction renovation of three existing bachelor enlisted quarters at Naval Air Station, Meridian, Miss. This contract contains options which, if exercised, will bring the total cumulative value amount not-to-exceed $6,549,780. Work will be performed in Meridian, Miss., and is expected to be completed by November 1999. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured with 41 proposals solicited and three offers received. The Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Southern Div., North Charleston, S.C., is the contracting activity (N6267-98-C-0695).

Harper/Nielsen Dillingham Builders (a joint venture), San Diego, Calif., is being awarded a $5,277,265 task order under a multiple awardee design/build solution order concept contract for the demolition of existing buildings and new construction of a four-story bachelor enlisted quarters building and common building, and all incidental related work at Marine Corps Air Station, Yuma, Ariz. This contract contains options which, if exercised, will bring the total cumulative task order value to $9,777,265. The basic total contract amount is not to exceed $150,000,000. Work will be performed in Yuma, Ariz., and is expected to be completed by November 1999. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured with 100 proposals solicited and 12 offers received and awards were made to multiple contractors. These contractors will compete for each task order under the terms and conditions of the existing multiple awardee contract. The Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Southwest Div., San Diego, Calif., is the contracting activity (N68711-97-D-8819).

ARMY

XETRON Corp., Cincinnati, Ohio, is being awarded a $7,858,508 modification to a firm-fixed-price (with time-and-materials and contract line options) contract for 214 Frequency Hopping Multiplexers; an antenna multicoupler used as an accessory to the Single Channel Ground Airborne Radio System. Work will be performed in Cincinnati, Ohio (75%), and Tampa, Fla. (25%), and is expected to be completed by July 31, 2001. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This is a sole source contract initiated on Nov. 24, 1995. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Communications & Electronics Command, Ft. Monmouth, N.J. (DAAB07-96-C-D007).

SKE Maintenance Co., Ilesheim, Germany, a joint venture of SKE and Burns & Roe Services Corp., Oradell, N.J., is being awarded a $27,763,408 cost-plus-award-fee contract for total maintenance and minor repairs for Army housing facilities and Army non-housing facilities at Hanau and Giessen, Germany. Work will be performed in Hanau and Giessen, Germany, and is expected to be completed by Oct. 31, 2003. There were 27 bids solicited on Sept. 1, 1997, and three bids were received. The contracting activity is the Wiesbaden Regional Contracting Center, Wiesbaden, Germany (DAJA22-98-C-0077).
