AIR FORCE

CORRECTION: On July 9, we announced McDonnell Douglas Corp., St. Louis, Mo., was awarded a $6,654,511 firm-fixed-price contract. The contract actually was awarded to Hunt Building Corporation, El Paso, Texas. The announcement should read: Hunt Building Corporation, El Paso, Texas was awarded on July 9, a $6,654,511 firm-fixed-price contract to provide for design and construction of 50 units of military family housing at Lackland AFB, Texas. There were 66 firms solicited and 5 proposals received. Solicitation began December 1997; negotiations were completed June 1998. The work will be completed September 1999. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. Human Systems Center, Brooks AFB, Texas, is the contracting activity (F41622-98/C-0016).

Metric Construction Company, Inc., Thousand Oaks, Calif., is being awarded a $14,330,386 firm-fixed-price-contract to provide for construction of 108 units of military family housing at Vandenberg AFB, Calif. There were 52 firms solicited and 5 proposals received. Solicitation issue date was December 12, 1997. The 30th Contracting Squadron, Vandenberg, AFB, Calif., is the contracting activity (F04684-98-C0015).

DEFENSE COMMISSARY AGENCY

IBP, Inc., of Dakota City, Neb., is being awarded a $6,455,115, indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity-contract to provide various pork products for resale in the commissary stores located in DeCA's Northern Area, Eastern Region. Work will be performed in Joslin, Ill. with deliveries of pork products to DeCA's Northern Area, Eastern Region commissaries with a contract completion date of July 31, 1999. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. Seventeen firms were solicited and five bids were received. The Defense Commissary Agency, Hopewell, Va., is the contracting activity (DeCA-98-D-0041).

NAVY

Raytheon Co., doing business as Raytheon Systems Co., Mukilteo, Wash., is being awarded a $8,660,878 firm-fixed-price contract for 40 MK48 ADCAP Mods Torpedoes including the following: first article units, proofing support, turnaround kits, engineering services as necessary, provisioned item orders as necessary and engineering change proposals as necessary. Work will be performed in Mukilteo, Wash., and is expected to be completed by December 1999. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured with two proposals solicited and two offers were received. The Naval Sea Systems Command, Arlington, Va., is the contracting activity (N00024-98-C-6110).
