Becoming an ENERGY STAR Partner is Easy
Becoming an ENERGY STAR partner is easy. Simply fill out an ENERGY STAR Partnership Agreement. There is no cost to partner with ENERGY STAR or use ENERGY STAR promotional materials.
Partnership Agreements for:
- Builders
- Home Energy Raters
- Architect/Home Plan Designers
- Utilities and Other Sponsoring Programs (such as HBAs and State Energy Offices)
- Lenders

ENERGY STAR builder partners may also take advantage of:
100% Commitment Option
New builder partners can make the 100% commitment on their Partnership Agreement. Existing builders can make this commitment by updating their partner information in MESA.
ENERGY STAR Advanced Lighting Package (ALP) Option
Builders can commit to offering an ENERGY STAR Advanced Lighting Package to their customers, which further reduces energy use in the home. Builders will receive special recognition on energystar.gov for doing so. To learn more, refer to the ALP program requirements.
ENERGY STAR Indoor Air Package
EPA has launched a pilot program to recognize homes equipped with a comprehensive set of indoor air quality measures. Homes that comply with these specifications can use the ENERGY STAR Indoor Air Package label.
