Title:  How Accurate are Teacher Judgments of Students' Academic Performance?
Description: This paper was prepared in support of Early Childhood Longitudinal Study (ECLS) instrument development efforts. The paper presents the results of a review of the research literature documenting the accuracy of teachers' judgements of students' academic performance. The paper examines the methods by which teacher judgements have been evaluated and summarizes findings from this research. The implications from this research for using teacher judgement measures in the ECLS are discussed.
