Instructions for Submitting Abstracts

Note: The abstract submission period is now closed.

Please use the abstract submission form to provide information on your presentation. You will need all of the following:

  • Presentation title
  • Email of contact presenter
  • For each author: first name, last name, affiliation (the author expected to make the presentation should be listed first)
  • Abstract (see call for contributed presentations for requested information)
  • Theme (one of the following: water, ecosystems, coastal issues, energy, or air quality)

Once you have entered the information, click on "Submit."  An email confirmation will be sent to the contact author. You will be forwarded to a Web page confirming your submission, displaying the information received, and providing an identification number for your abstract.  Please review your submission for accuracy. 

Should you wish to make a correction or revision, please send an email to abstracts@climatescience.gov specifying the abstract identification number and the changes you wish to make.  We will be happy to make the changes for you. If you encounter problems with the online form or cannot successfully use it, please send the required abstract information (as listed above) in digital format to:

The deadline for receiving abstracts is 30 July 2005.

Your submitted abstract will be reviewed and acceptance/rejection notices will be sent by 1 September 2005.

By submitting an abstract, you are NOT automatically registered for the workshop.  Visit our registration page to register for the workshop.  If your abstract is accepted, the person expected to make the presentation should register as an "invited speaker." Registration fees are waived for invited speakers.
