LCAC Apple Picking September 17, 2005
The Columbia Location Community Action Committee organized an outing to pick apples at the University of Missouri Horticulture and Agroforestry Research Center (HARC) in New Franklin, Missouri on Saturday, September 17, 2005. Nearly 80 USDA and University of Missouri employees and students participated, and over 5000 pounds of apples were donated to the Mid-Missouri Food Bank as a result.
