ARMY

Contrack International Inc./Orascom Construction Industries, a joint venture, Arlington, Va., is being awarded a $107,265,391 firm-fixed-price contract for Peace Vector VI, Main Operating Base Upgrade at Fayid, Egypt. This work consists of construction of new utility distribution systems (electric, water and signal) and a collection system (sanitary), as well as construction of a new aircraft maintenance hangar, munitions storage, a water treatment plant, housing, dining, recreation, security fencing and other aircraft maintenance facilities. The contractors will also perform rehabilitation work on airfield pavement, aircraft shelters, and numerous existing facilities; and provide utility service from the new systems to approximately fifty existing facilities. Work will be performed in Fayid, Egypt, and is expected to be completed by Dec. 26, 2003. There were 25 bids solicited on Nov. 15, 2000, and three bids were received. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Winchester, Va., is the contracting activity (DACA78-01-C-0008).

Lockheed Martin Corp., Missile and Fire Control-Dallas, Grand Prairie, Texas, was awarded on June 6, 2001, a $700,000 increment as part of a $25,000,000 modification a letter contract for an undefinitized option (2B) to cost-plus-fixed-fee contract DAAH01-98-C-R137, for NETFIRES (advanced fire support system), System Fabrication and Test Concept-2 Option B. Work will be performed in Grand Prairie, Texas (75%), and Orlando, Fla. (25%), and is expected to be completed by December 2002, if options are exercised. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There was a broad agency announcement on March 30, 1998, and three bids were received. The U.S. Army Aviation & Missile Command, Redstone Arsenal, Ala., is the contracting activity.

Metric Constructors Inc., Marietta, Ga., is being awarded an $18,412,678 firm-fixed-price contract for construction of an Army complex training building for the U.S. Army Reserve Center. Work will be performed at Fort Gillem, Ga., and is expected to be completed by Feb. 28, 2003. Of the total contract funds, $205,693 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 98 bids solicited on March 8, 2001, and four bids were received. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Louisville, Ky., is the contracting activity (DACA27-01-C-0022).

McDonnell Douglas Helicopter Systems/The Boeing Co., Mesa, Ariz., is being awarded a $1,125,844 delivery order amount as part of a $9,213,327 firm-fixed-price, indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contract, for various AH-64 Apache spares. Work will be performed in Mesa, Ariz., and is expected to be completed by Oct. 31, 2004. This is a sole source contract initiated on Feb. 6, 2001. The U.S. Army Aviation & Missile Command, Redstone Arsenal, Ala., is the contracting activity (DAAH23-01-D-0112).

McDonnell Douglas Helicopter Systems/The Boeing Co., Mesa, Ariz., is being awarded a $254,319 delivery order amount as part of an $8,599,880 firm-fixed-price, indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contract, for various AH-64 Apache spares. Work will be performed in Mesa, Ariz., and is expected to be completed by Oct. 31, 2004. This is a sole source contract initiated on Feb. 6, 2001. The U.S. Army Aviation & Missile Command, Redstone Arsenal, Ala., is the contracting activity (DAAH23-01-D-0113).

NAVY

Litton Electro-Optical Systems, Dallas, Texas, is being awarded a $35,892,362 indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract for 5000 (ea) 2.25X miniature night sights (MNS); 2000 (ea) 4.50X miniature night sights and associated lines for the U.S. Marine Corps. The MNS stand alone allows operators to acquire/engage man-size targets out to 300 meters (2.25X system) and 500 meters (4.5X system), respectively. These MNS are mounted to the Marine Corps M4 Carbine, M16A2 (carry handle mount), or the M16A4 Rifle. Work will be performed in Dallas, Texas, and is expected to be completed by June 2005. Contract funds in the amount of $5,322,900 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The contract was competitively procured and advertised over the Internet with one offer received. The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane Division, Crane Ind., is the contracting activity (N00164-01-D-0022).

Engineering Technology Center, North Stonington, Conn., is being awarded a $32,817,094 indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity, cost-plus-fixed-fee (completion) contract modification to procure an additional 110,500 man hours of engineering and technical support services for naval hull, mechanical and electrical machinery research and development. Work will be performed in Philadelphia, Pa. (65%); West Bethesda, Md. (20%); Rockville, Md. (15%), and is expected to be completed by October 2004. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Carderock Division (NSWCCD), West Bethesda, Md., is the contracting activity (N00167-99-D-0001) (Mod. P00004).

American Management Systems (AMS), Fairfax, Va., is being awarded a $26,841,064 cost-plus-fixed-fee contract for Port Engineering Fleet Maintenance Support. The contract will provide marine engineering and systems analysis services for the execution of maintenance systems assessment, development and improvement efforts for the formulation of surface ship maintenance policies. Work will be performed in Fairfax, Va. (31%); Norfolk, Va. (20%); San Diego Calif. (12%), Ingleside, Texas (9%); Mayport, Fla. (8%); Pearl Harbor, Hawaii (3%); Earle, N.J. (2%); Pascagoula, Miss. (2%); Bremerton, Wash. (1%); Everett, Wash. (1%); Bahrain (1%) and Japan (10%), and is expected to be completed by June 2006. Contract funds in the amount of $4,233,000 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The contract was competitively procured and posted on the Internet with one offer received. The Naval Sea Systems Command, Arlington, Va., is the contracting activity (N00024-01-C-4017).

Advanced Concepts Engineering Division of Ki,* LLC, Tampa, Fla., is being awarded a $9,877,087 cost-plus-fixed-fee contract to provide technical and engineering services to support communication/convergent technology systems/equipment. This will include, but not limited to, repairs, alignments, overhaul and system operational verification testing. This contract includes options, which if exercised, would bring the cumulative value of this contract to $29,890,296. Work will be performed primarily in Portsmouth, Va., and various locations as requested by the undetermined Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center, Charleston sponsors, and work is expected to be completed by June 2002. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was not competitively procured because it is an 8(a), 100% Indian Tribe set aside. One proposal was solicited and one offer was received. The Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center, Charleston, S.C., is the contracting activity (N65236-01-D-5843).

AIR FORCE

The Boeing Co., Long Beach, Calif., was awarded a $22,902,083 modification time and materials contract on June 6th, 2001, to provide for various upgrade bits and installation support Block XIII follow-on retrofit projects supporting the C-17 aircraft. This work is expected to be completed December 2002. This effort will be performed by the Boeing Co., Long Beach, Calif. (66%) and Boeing Aircraft Support Center, San Antonio, Texas (34%). Aeronautical Systems Center, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, is the contracting activity (F33657-01-C-2002, P00017).

The Boeing Co., Anaheim, Calif., was awarded a $7,263,102 modification firm-fixed-price/award fee contract on June 6th, 2001, to provide for the Period 5, Calendar Year 2000 earned award fee for performance of earned and low rate initial production effort in support of the Global Positioning System Satellite. Space and Missile Center, Los Angeles, Calif., is the contracting activity (F04701-96-C-0025, P00139).
