Modeling and Tools for Renewable Energy Assessment

NREL develops models and tools that can be used to assess resources for renewable energy in particular regions. The following is a list of models and tools that apply to this area.

Geospatial Toolkits

NREL developed the geospatial toolkit (GsT) — a map-based software application that integrates resource data and GIS — for integrated resource assessment. A variety of agencies within countries and global datasets provided country-specific data. To download country-specific toolkits, access Geospatial Toolkits.
