Welcome to the Soil & Water Management Research Unit (SWMRU), St. Paul, MN.  The SWMRU is part of the Midwest Area of USDA/ARS.  Our research laboratories and offices are housed on the St. Paul Campus of the University of Minnesota.

The mission of the SWMRU is to develop and test agricultural management practices that improve water quality and soils and reduce emissions of greenhouse gases.
