Applications AdjudicatorKey Role To balance the security needs of our nation with quality customer service to the immigrant population, you will assist the Agency in maintaining compliance with program guidelines and quality assurance requirements. As an Applications Adjudicator, you will decide whether applications and petitions requesting benefits and privileges under the Immigration and Nationality Act will be approved. Your primary responsibilities may include: - Conducting independent research concerning the eligibility and entitlement of persons seeking benefits, employment, and/or legal status under the Immigration and Nationality Act as amended
- Reviewing case documentation to determine legal sufficiency and make recommendations
- Perform preliminary fact-finding and initiating further action where information indicates fraud has been detected
- Reviewing and making determinations on cases; hearing and adjudicating appeals, and deciding on motions to reopen and reconsider cases
Characteristics of a successful Applications Adjudicator candidate include: Training Applications Adjudicators are required to successfully complete a six week residential basic training program in Dallas, TX, a one-week practicum at the National Benefits Center in Lees Summit, MO, and a one week practicum at either a District Office or Service Center.
