Regional Training Conferences for Civics and Citizenship Teachers of Adults

U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) will convene FREE regional training conferences for adult civics and citizenship teachers and volunteers to improve their skills in teaching U.S. history, civics, and the naturalization process to immigrant students. These conferences will complement EL/Civics Online a web-based electronic training module for volunteers and adult educators that include courses and materials in the following content areas: the U.S. naturalization process, U.S. government, U.S. history, and civics education. Please see the link to the right to visit EL/Civics Online. The regional training conferences will include sessions on how to effectively teach the history and ideals of our founding documents; to learn the process on how lawful permanent residents become citizens; and to impart information on the redesigned naturalization test.

To register for a conference in your area, please complete the registration form below and follow the submission instructions. Please note there will be no on site registration the day of the event. Registrations will be accepted up to 10 business days in advance of the conference. Space at these conferences is limited.
