21st NREL Industry Growth Forum to Feature 35 Clean Energy Companies

State and National Leaders to speak about Growth in the Clean Energy Industry

October 27, 2008

Thirty-five clean energy companies, including nine Colorado companies, will gather in Denver Oct. 28 – 30 to present their clean energy business cases to a panel of national venture capitalists at the U.S. Department of Energy’s National Renewable Energy Laboratory 21st Industry Growth Forum. 

Colorado Governor Bill Ritter, Senator Ken Salazar and Vinod Khosla, founding CEO of Sun Microsystems are slated to speak to nearly 500 participants at this year’s Forum.   Xcel Energy Foundation will present awards totaling $25,000 to the Best Early Venture of the Year, Best Early Seed Investment of the Year and the Best Later Stage Investment of the Year.
