Nonindigenous Occurrences: Hawaii: The bluestriped snapper was stocked for sport in the marine waters off the coast of Oahu where is has spread throughout the islands including to the Kaloko-Honokohau National Historic Park on the big island of Hawaii (Maciolek 1984; Tilmant 1999).

Means of Introduction: Intentionally stocked.
