Specific identification of the individuals that were introduced into Hawaii unclear (Randall 1987).
Native Range: Unclear due to confusion surrounding specific identification.
Twelve individuals of an unidentified species were introduced to Kane'ohe Bay, O'ahu, Hawaii from the Marquesas in 1958 (Randall 1987; Mundy 2005).
Means of Introduction: Stocked.
Status: Failed in Hawaii.
Impact of Introduction: Unknown.
