Dear Access Board:
My experience with audible signals and detectable warnings has been a
frustrating and difficult one. As a blind person traveling with a white cane I
listen to the flow of the traffic. With the audible noise of these signals I
found it extremely difficult to hear the flow of the traffic.
Also, detectable warnings at every curb seem to me a totally ridiculous expense
of taxpayers' money. They are not only not needed but not wanted.
Sincerely,
Joy Stigile
