Kathy and Tom Arnold
My husband and I sent a comment re the audible
signals. We are both totally blind. I travel with a Dog Guide. My
husband travels with a cane. It is our hope that our comments will have
some impact, now that you have the necessary info.
We believe that it is absolutely necessary to
have audible signals. We believe that it would be less stressful for our
Guide Dogs, if we were more sure of when to cross. We feel that we our
competent travelers. However, it can be very difficult to cross lots of
busy intersections without signals. We believe that it will increase our
confidence as travelers. We believe that audible signals will help other
people with disabilities as well.
We urge you to consider our comments, and keep
and/or add audible signals.
My husband and I are both members of the
Kentucky Council Of The blind.
Thank you very much for taking the time to read
this.
Sincerely,
