Statement By U.S. Commerce Secretary Carlos Gutierrez On The Release Of The Transatlantic Business Dialogue 2006 Recommendation For A Barrier-Free Transatlantic Marketplace
The U.S. Department of Commerce welcomes the Trans-Atlantic Business Dialogue's (TABD) 2006 recommendations towards a barrier-free trans-Atlantic marketplace. For more than a decade, the TABD has played an instrumental role in shaping the trans-Atlantic economic relationship into one of the largest and most important in the world. This year offers no exception and we remain committed to working with the TABD to strengthen this important partnership.
The U.S.-EU economic relationship is a testament to the benefits of trade liberalization, and we will continue to tackle barriers to trade and investment as identified by the TABD and our larger stakeholder community.
