India Cold Chain Study Tour

USTDA is sponsoring a program to strengthen India's cold chain infrastructure by providing state-of-the-art training to stakeholders in the Indian cold chain sector regarding proper post-harvest handling, transportation, and storage of fresh fruits and vegetables, and other perishable commodities. USTDA held a series of cold chain workshops in India (Chennai and Mumbai in November/December 2007 and New Delhi and Kolkata in March 2008), and will sponsor a U.S. study tour in October/November 2008 for a select group of workshop attendees to receive more specialized training and complete business plans. At the conclusion of the study tour, the delegates will participate in the International Association for Cold Storage Construction Annual Conference and Exposition in Las Vegas, NV.
