Activities of the committee include assisting in the development of standard operating procedures (SOP's) for research procedures, reviewing laboratory procedures, reviewing accidents and inspections, suggesting alternate research methods and procedures, reducing laboratory waste, increasing recycling efforts, annual chemical inventory, OHMP, updating the safety internet site, and suggesting links to other safety sites.
