Emergency Planning and Community and Right-to-Know Act Compliance Monitoring
EPA works with its federal and state regulatory partners to assure compliance with emergency planning and right-to-know laws and regulations in order to protect human health and the environment. The major federal law governing pesticides is the Emergency Planning and Community Right-to-Know Act (EPCRA).
Several different approaches are utilized by EPA. They include:
- Section 313 program
- Non-313 program
