University of Minnesota Professor Marcia Endres and her students are out to make cows more comfortable. By modifying their stall size and adding sand bedding that conforms to their bodies, as well as by improving their feed and feeding times, cows will give more milk.

The University of Minnesota is headed for the record books. On October 28, the Twin Cities campus shattered the Guinness World Record for the most flu shots given in a single day by dispensing more than 11,500 flu vaccines.

A 'white glove event'

The theme for this year's homecoming—the last before football returns to campus—is "Marching into the Future." So what better a way to celebrate than with an epic parade led by a mascot that evokes glee in kids both young and old. (Sorry, Goldy. For just this once, we're not talking about you.)
