CDX Data Submittal Procedures

The EPA's Central Data Exchange facility is used by state, local, and tribal agencies to transfer air emission inventory data files electronically to the Emission Inventory and Analysis Group (EIG). Those agencies that have previously submitted data sets through CDX will already have an account and password. If the account holder has forgotten the password, it may be re-set by calling CDX Technical Support at 1-888-890-1995. If your agency does not have an active account, you must first pre-register with CDX. To pre-register, please download and complete the spreadsheet provided below. Send the completed spreadsheet attached to an e-mail to CDX Technical Support at http://cdx.epa.gov/contactus.asp.

As a result of pre-registration, you will receive by FAX, an official registration letter containing your customer retrieval key. Your customer retrieval key will used to register on CDX. The letter will also provide instructions on how to register on the CDX site as well as the URL for the User Guide and NEI Frequently Asked Questions: http://cdx.epa.gov/faq.asp#nei
