Summary
Western China International Economy & Trade Fair(WCIETF), coping with the implication of economic globalization, is an annual grand event serving to enhance the exchange and cooperation of western China with other Chinese regions and countries all over the world. Based on cooperation and win-win, the Fair, which is held in Chengdu each year on May 25, is consisted of professional exhibition, high-level summit and multilateral trade workshop in regard to the economic globalization and implementation of West China Development Strategy. After its successful four sessions, the Fair has attracted wide attention both at home and abroad. Over 150,000 visitors and 10,000 exhibitors participated in the Fair, achieving total agreement volume reached 60 billion RMB. Among them were Chinese state leaders and high-level officials, world-famous figures, foreign president, leaders of World Bank and Asia Development Bank, CEOs from Fortune 500, chairmen of industrial or commercial Chambers of various countries, top Hongkong officials and investors, VIPs of Taiwan industry and business circles, ambassadors, consuls and commercials officers of different countries. Up to now, WCIETF has become one of the Fairs with most famous brand in western China.
The 5th Western China International Economy & Trade Fair will be held on May 25-28, 2004 in Chengdu(Main Venue: Chengdu International Convention & Exhibition Center). Based on the principals of exchange, cooperation, communication and double win, WCIETF 2004 will present excellent local enterprises, projects and products, which will focus on further putting forward the economic and trade cooperation with the countries all over, especially with the Southeast Asia and Asia-Pacific regions; meanwhile, the professional exhibition-gallery will be established, namely Southeast Asia Hall, IT Hall, Machinery Hall, Pharmacy Hall, Food Hall, Tourism Hall, Culture Hall, Procurement & Logistics Hall, International Education Hall, and Investment Project Hall etc.; series of high-level forums, bilateral, Multilateral trade workshops and symposiums will be held; moreover, International(Country, region or city) Day event will be organized; for business groups, tailor-made arrangement will be offered in line with your requirement.
