1. Large Beijing Construction Company Seeks Olympic Project Partners

Beijing Zhuzong Group Co. Ltd. is one of the largest property development and construction companies in Beijing and is fully owned by Beijing Municipal Government.

Beijing Zhuzong Group Co. ltd. has been short-listed for the ownership of three projects for the 2008 Beijing Olympic Venues: the National Convention Center, National Indoor Stadium and Olympic Village, and Beijing Wukesong Culture & Sports Center. They are the consortium representative bidding for the National Indoor Stadium & Olympic Village and most influential partner in the consortium bidding for the ownership of the Wukesong Culture & Sports Center.

Beijing Zhuzong Group Co. Ltd. is looking for sport business operation partners world-wide with financing capability to join them in the successful bidding, construction and operation of the 2008 Olympic Venues under in BOT (Build-Operate-Transfer) model.

2. Hong Kong as an Arbitration Center for Olympic Project Contracts

The Beijing Olympic Committee Chairperson recently informed the Hong Kong Government that mainland authorities would accept contract clauses that provide for arbitration of disputes to be done in Hong Kong, as well as Hong Kong law as the governing law over contracts for Olympic projects.

The Olympic committee reports many foreign firms asking for this language in their contracts to complete Olympic related projects.

3. CS Beijing Promotes US Products and Services at Stadia & Arena Infrasport 2003

On January 22-24, the US Commercial Service - Beijing participated in Stadia & Arena Infrasport: 2003 at the China World Trade Center in Beijing. The event was the show's debut in China, and focused on the construction of Olympic stadiums for the Beijing 2008 Olympics.
