I write to oppose the current proposal before the Access Board which would require audible signals and tactile warnings on every street corner. I appreciate the intent to help blind people like me but I think we need less help than this proposal offers. There are places where I cannot tell the street from the sidewalk and in these I'd like a warning. There are a few places where the traffic patterns are so difficult that I cannot always tell whether I am clear to cross. In these I would appreciate some tactile warnings and some signal indicators.

As a final point, I do not want audible signals but those which vibrate to indicate the condition of a light. I do not want my needs to be an annoyance to those who live where I travel as a pedestrian.

Thank you for considering my opinions.

Sincerely,
Debbie Wunder
