I am writing you as a concerned blind person. I don't feel that having audible signals are a benefit for the blind. As a matter of fact it will lure us into a false sense of security. I understand there should be audible signals placed in unsafe crossings, however it would take away from most blind people the mobility that they must learn. I don't know what would be next? How about safty rails on both sides of the sidewalks? How about in the malls, maybe we should have are own lane of travel so no one bumps into us? The only thing that will come out of audible signals everywhere is blind people getting less mobility lessons. I am against audible signals unless they are placed in areas that a blind or sighted person can't cross safly after getting training.

Thank You for your time,
Dave Wermuth
