I just received an email regarding NFB'S views on APS'S and am very concerned on their stand.

As a legally blind/visually impaired senior citizen I would be totally lost without APS'S.
I only cross streets that have the crossing devices.  Of course it may be risky.  But crossing as a sighted person is risky, too.  No one sighted or blind knows when a car will run a red light, etc.

Before I would endorse not having APS'S there would have to be a further study done on the pro's and con's.

Has NFB done a comprehensive study?  Have they polled a large majority of blind people as to their wishes?

I ask that you have more studies done before a decision is rendered.  NFB does not speak for "all" blind individuals.
