Entitled “Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Accessibility Guidelines
For Buildings and Facilities:
Architectural Barriers Act (ABA) Accessibility Guidelines: Public Rights Of Way
The City Of Helena supports having access for buildings and facilities.
We do however have concerns that there were no guidelines to review on what will
be exempt or prorated. We also are concerned that there were no exceptions for
rural or suburban areas.
We are a small city and have a limited budget. With out certain exceptions it is
possible that several projects for our city could be delayed or eliminated.
