As a blind pedestrian I think it is extremely important to incorporate
accessible pedestrian signals and detectable warnings at all intersections that
have or are likely to have heavy pedestrian traffic. If these are installed at
the time of the installation of the regular traffic control devices the cost is
much less than installing them later but there are many many existing
intersections in all US cities that should be updated with these devices.
