Hi,

I'd like to see the U.S. Access Board support the proposed regulations from the Public Rights of Way Advisory committee known as the PROWAC. The committee's recommendations are contained in a report, "Building a True Community," which comprehensively covers the various components of public streets and sidewalks and provides criteria for sidewalks, street fixtures and furnishings, street crossings, vehicular ways, parking, and other components of public rights-of-way.

There is much evidence that detectable warnings prevent folks from falling into subway pits and alert them to the fact that they have reached an area of potentially hazardous traffic flow.

I think it is imperative that the U.S. Access Board helps enact the committee's recommendations.
