I understand you are considering new requirements at controlled intersections that are supposed to help the blind. I know that what the blind want from transportation service providers is better city busses in Boise. If tax dollars are to be spent for the benefit of the blind, it would make sense to me to provide something that the blind actually want.

There is a big intersection outside our office. I do not want to listen to birds or buzzers all day long, especially if nobody needs them! Blind people come here across this intersection as they need to, and nobody has ever said they wanted extra signals.

I know that the leaders of the National Federation of the Blind would be glad to meet with you to help save transportation money and provide more appropriate assistance to the blind of the country.
