The American Constitution states, "We are all created equal." Contrary to the believe of some leaders in the blind community, wee are not equally intelligent and not equally capable to be trained according to their prescription, and yet, all blind have the right to safe travel.

Audible pedestrian signals at intersections make streetcrossing safe for the "stupid" and yes the intelligent as well. I wish, the federal government would mandate the communities to install such traffic devices at least at dangerous intersections.

The intelligent blind may not need such protection, it is the rest of us who need it. Please, Mr. Windley, work for us and not against us.

Sincerely,
Max Edelman
