To Whom it may Concern:

We do not need the proposed regulations on Audible Traffic Signals and Detecable that are before you. Life has been fine for those of us who are blind when it comes to traveling down our sidewalks for generations.

There is nothing unusable for the blind in the way sidewalks have been made for the last century. Our major problem is when new roads are built without sidewalks at all. The cost and noise of the devices does not justify their construction.

I will admit in rare common sense cases such devices may be helpful or even needed. But, to mandate them as the regulations do is way too extreme. Please discard these custodial regulations.

Sincerely,
Carol J Coulter
