GSA Earns Award for Innovative WorkplacesPosted May 10, 2004 This year’s National Building Museum's Honor Award recognized GSA’s success in creating and maintaining innovative workplaces for the federal community as well as providing a positive federal presence for the public. Bestowed annually since 1986, the Honor Award recognizes outstanding individuals and companies that have made significant contributions in the fields of architecture, planning, construction, and building. GSA Administrator Stephen A. Perry accepted the award before an anticipated audience of more than 1,000 cultural, corporate, political, and building industry leaders. In accepting the award, GSA joins such celebrated past recipients as Michael D. Eisner and The Walt Disney Company, the Rockefeller and Pritzker families, Senator Daniel Patrick Moynihan, and former National Gallery Director J. Carter Brown, among others. The evening gala benefited exhibition and education programs of the National Building Museum. The ceremony and black-tie dinner was held in the magnificent Great Hall of the National Building Museum the evening of June 3, 2004. For more information, contact Jill Dixon at (202) 272-3606.
