  CONSIDERATION OF CERTAIN RESOLUTIONS REPORTED FROM THE COMMITTEE ON 
                                 RULES

  Ms. Slaughter, from the Committee on Rules, submitted the following

                      [To accompany H. Res. 1281]

    The Committee on Rules, having had under consideration 
House Resolution 1281, by a nonrecord vote, report the same to 
the House with the recommendation that the resolution be 
adopted.

                SUMMARY OF PROVISIONS OF THE RESOLUTION

    The resolution waives a requirement of clause 6(a) of rule 
XIII with respect to consideration of any resolution reported 
on the legislative day of June 19, 2008, providing for 
consideration or disposition of a measure making supplemental 
appropriations for the fiscal year ending September 30, 2008.

would stipulate that the provisions in section 1 shall not 
apply unless a letter, jointly signed by the Majority and

section 1 is a bipartisan product.
