The Frankfurt Book Fair, taking place this year October 14-19, is the world's largest trade show for the publishing industry. With a history dating back 500 years, it is the world's most important venue for publishers, agents, booksellers, librarians, translators, authors and suppliers dealing the publishing rights, licenses and international property rights. Last year, more than 7,000 exhibitors from 108 countries attracted more than 283,000 visitors.
