Applying to DOL's Internship Program

What does the application require?

  1. Resume, including Social Security Number and e-mail address.
  2. Current academic transcript.

Note: *This program doesn't require an additional application form to be filled out.

General Note: Selections are usually made from students who are currently in college.

Does the academic transcript need to be official?
Official transcripts are required.

What are the deadlines to apply?
Completed application materials must be submitted to Stephanie Terek, DOL Intern Coordinator, prior to the following deadlines:

  • Spring 2009 — We are now accepting applications for the spring internship program. The spring program runs from approximately January-April.

When are decisions typically made?
Fall — Qualified applicants will be notified for follow up interviews and positions will be filled on a rolling basis through early October.
Spring — Qualified applicants will be notified for follow up interviews and positions will be filled on a rolling basis through early February.
Summer — Candidates notified around early April.

Are there phone interviews?
If follow-up questions are required we will call and schedule a time that works around your student schedule.
