These Fact Sheets document how activities supported by the USGS
component of the National Earthquake Hazard Reduction Program
contribute to the reduction of earthquake losses. The color-
illustrated fact sheets highlight a wide range of loss mitigation
actions that in various ways have been stimulated or facilitated by
information derived and disseminated by the USGS and by collaborating
government agencies, universities, consulting companies, and
corporations.
