FOIA Electronic Reading Room
The Electronic Freedom of Information Act Amendments of 1996 established the requirement for electronic reading room availability of any records processed and disclosed in response to a FOIA request that "the agency determines have become or are likely to become the subject of subsequent requests for substantially the same records." This mandate created an opportunity for the Office of Enforcement and Compliance Assurance (OECA) to provide efficient affirmative access to a broad collection of enforcement and compliance records that otherwise would have to be sought through a formal petitioning of the Agency under FOIA.
Resources available in the Enforcement and Compliance Assurance FOIA Electronic Reading Room
