By Federal Register notice dated 9/24/01, GSA is extending the retirement dates of Optional Forms 1103, U.S. Government Bill of Lading (GBL) & 1203, U.S. Government Bill of Lading-Privately Owned Personal Property, until March 31, 2002.  In order to assist your agency in transitioning away from the GBL, GSA has begun developing a user-friendly shipping document.  By clicking on the link below, you will see a draft Transportation Services Order.  In order for this shipping document to meeting your needs, GSA is requesting you review this form & provide any comments via e-mail to the mailbox listed here:  Reg6.Transportation@gsa.gov

The open window for filing these rate offers is February 5, 2001 through March 5, 2001. Copies have NOT been mailed to all participants. January 24, 2001 SPECIAL NOTE FOR GSA FREIGHT PROGRAM CARRIERS:

The importance of the National Wildlife Protection Program cannot be overstated, and that is why we are highly encouraging carrier representatives to attend a training the GSA will be hosting at the Western Distribution Center (WDC), Stockton, CA. The program will be very informative and worth your while. We will feature a U.S. Fire Fighter, Ray Bali, GSA Fire Program Coordinator and other GSA staff discussing all the requirements entailing this traffic that will be open for rate filings in the Request for Offers due out the first week of February.
