Prior to your first day of work, you will receive specific, written instructions on when, where and who to report to.

Once you arrive at your employing office, you will receive the Oath of Office and be sworn in as a Federal employee. You will be asked to complete various appointment documents such as the SF-61, Appointment Affidavits; OF-306, Declaration for Federal Employment; AD-349, Employee Address, etc. You will discuss and receive information on various topics about the Agency, your employing office, policies and procedures, etc. You will also have your photo taken and receive your official USDA ID.

Once this is completed, you will be given information about your new job site. This will include directions (if needed) to the job site, who to report to and when. When you arrive at your permanent duty station, you will continue with the job-site orientation.
